Job Description:

The MEG Laboratory at the University of Florida seeks a motivated OPS Research Assistant to support studies focused on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) and MEG-based brain–computer interface (BCI) speech decoding. The Research Assistant will support MEG and MRI data processing, quality control, and analysis workflows in a collaborative research environment with access to dedicated neuroimaging resources and high-performance computing.

About This Role

  • Run and document MEG preprocessing and analysis pipelines
  • Perform QC and reporting of outputs
  • Support MRI preprocessing/QC (structural, diffusion, fMRI) and alignment of MEG–MRI outputs for multimodal analyses
  • Assist with BCI-speech decoding project data organization, feature extraction/model inputs, and experiment tracking.
  • Maintain organized datasets, code repositories, and analysis logs to ensure reproducibility
  • Contribute to figures/tables for manuscripts, abstracts, and internal reports

Expected Salary:

$17 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering, Neuroscience, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience with scientific computing (Python and/or MATLAB) and data analysis
