Job Description:

The Opportunity

The University of Florida's Student Health Care Center (SHCC) is seeking a dynamic full-time Primary Care physician to join our team! This non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor role offers you the chance to make a real impact by delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to our student body.

In this role, you'll thrive in an ambulatory care setting, championing student health with a focus on enhancing access, quality, and cost-effective care. Guided by the Director of the SHCC, you'll operate with independence while collaborating closely with a talented team of medical professionals, including Advanced Practice Providers and fellow physicians. This is your chance to be at the forefront of student health advocacy and innovation at UF!

This position is non-tenure accruing. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications.

Clinical Duties:
This position provides the following medical services to UF students: acute illness and/or injury care, chronic disease management and preventative services. Customary faculty duties such as telephone after-hours call and occasional weekend clinic coverage are shared amongst the 27 other providers.

Educational Activities:
There are opportunities to teach residents and medical students on elective rotations during patient care activities at the Student Health Care Center. This position will also participate in educational conferences, seminars, and lectures and share in faculty duties as assigned.

The SHCC is fully accredited by the AAAHC and is located in a state-of-the-art WELL-certified building on UF’s campus. Medical services offered at the SHCC include primary care, sports medicine, urgent care, gynecology, psychiatry, allergy/immunization clinic, and travel medicine. Radiology, pharmacy, lab, and physical therapy are also on-site.

Expected Salary:

$190-$200K. Commensurate with training and experience

Full-time leave-accruing Academic Personnel and TEAMS employees will accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at a rate of 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, leave-accruing Academic Personnel and TEAMS employees are eligible for eleven paid holidays each year.

Required Qualifications:
