Classification Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:

Directly coordinates day-to-day assessments of health plan quality including facilitation of research and project team meetings. Contributes to deliverables with subcontract stakeholders, such as designing and conducting interviews of health plan personnel, reviews health plan documents, assesses health plan compliance with state and federal regulations, and evaluates quality improvement programs and performance improvement projects. Writes health plan assessment reports. Reviews policy and compliance documents and makes recommendations to key stakeholders.

Designs and implements processes to support the completion of Quality Improvement (QI)-related deliverables, such as leading the development of manual operating procedures and monitors progress toward study milestones. Contributes and collaborates with project leads in the interpretation and administration of policies and procedures as they apply to assigned areas of responsibility. Participates in the development, revision, and implementation of program policy and procedures and assists in the completion of study budgets. Conducts qualitative analyses of QI deliverables and generates written reports of results for provision to key stakeholders.

Leads special studies or projects as directed. Collaborates with project team members internal and external to the Quality Improvement core.

Performs related duties as required or deemed appropriate to the accomplishment of the responsibilities and function of the QI core.

Participates in hiring, training, and supervision of QI personnel. Educates and mentors research staff, students, OPS or other research team members and/or other coordinators.

Expected Salary:

$68,000 - $80,000

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to organize work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadline
  • Understanding of health care quality
  • Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, database management
  • Experience working in health plan or health facility quality improvement
Preferred:

Master’s degree in nursing, public health, or health policy. Quality improvement certification
