Under the general direction of the Fellowship Program Director and Division Administrator, the Program Assistant is responsible for the administrative support and coordination the Advanced Electrophysiology Fellowship Program (2 fellows), Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program (2-3 fellows) and the Heart Transplant Fellowship program has ( 1 Fellow). This position is responsible for the management and operations of three distinct and functionally separate programs with multiple practice rotation sites. The incumbent works closely with the Program Directors (3), Chief Fellow, and House staff office. The Program Assistant/ Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Coordinator works closely with the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) and ensures that the Training Program is within all ACGME guidelines and monitors the online American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) web-based tracking program, New Innovations. The incumbent must provide a high level of customer service both in person and on the telephone to all patients, faculty, referring physicians, fellows, staff, and other visitors. The Program Assistant/ Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Coordinator performs responsibilities by anticipating needs and proactively providing support with minimal direction. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining sensitive and confidential materials that are received and/or developed during the course of the incumbent's job duties. This position also supports administrative duties of the Chief of Cardiology and the Assistant Director/Division Administrator. Position reports to the Division Administrator.

The Clinical Research APRN described herein is a full-time position responsible for providing oversight for the clinical operation and clinical research activities for the division of neuro-oncology in concert with the Associate Director of Clinical Research. The Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) is responsible for both the direct treatment of patients and as a consultant to staff within the care team. The APP will ensure the continuity of care of neuro-oncology patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Strong preference is given for those with a background in neuro-oncology. This position will serve as the Operational Director of a series of programs at the University of Florida that utilize tissues obtained from organ donors to address important research questions, largely but not exclusively related to diabetes, including its pathogenesis and disease-related complications. Specific programs include the Network for Pancreatic Organ Donors with Diabetes (nPOD), NIH Cardiovascular Repository for Type 1 Diabetes (Care-T1D), NIH Human Pancreas Analysis Program-T1D (HPAP-T1D), Human Atlas of the Neonatal Development and Early Life Pancreas (HANDEL‐P), and others. Importantly, this individual will oversee administrative aspects of the various external SABs for each program, including annual meetings and reports. In addition, this position will also involve oversight of various committees asking key questions regarding disease pathogenesis for type 1 diabetes (nPOD) or the formation of complications (in the case of CaRE-T1D). Importantly, most of these programs have annual meetings that involve the supervision of multiple staff members. Additional tasks include annual budgeting, producing a quarterly newsletter, website, and social media presence, conducting scientific reviews of programmatic applications, travel related to scientific and administrative presentations, preparing external grants, and supervising local administrative staff.
