Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of laboratory experiments largely independently.
- Design and optimize novel tests and methodologies not routinely performed in the lab.
- Perform techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, and advanced microscopy.
- Operate laser scanning confocal microscopes and state-of-the-art spinning disk super-resolution microscopes.
- Prepare and maintain tissue cultures, including stem cells, and differentiate them into neurons, astrocytes, and other terminal cell fates.
- Provide basic animal husbandry and maintenance as required.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
