Job Description: |
Assist with organization, maintenance and breeding of mice (husbandry, setting up mating cages, weaning pups, tail snips and monitoring health concerns). Assist with training of laboratory personnel on proper animal techniques and colony maintenance.
Perform well established experimental protocols to genotype mouse lines and perform a long range to size the animals and enter resulting data into a lab database.
Assist other mouse manager and lab members with the application and assessment of various molecular therapeutic approaches in mouse models, including weighing, injections and behavioral analysis. Assist in the effective planning and implementation of project timelines and assisting in ensure project milestones are met.
Other duties as assigned by PI.
These duties will be performed with little supervision from the laboratory PI.
