The associate director directly oversees clinical operations, ancillary clinical support functions, faculty affairs, and the Chair’s Office operations. This position works closely with the department’s director of health administration, director of finance (working title), department chair, vice chairs, division chiefs, faculty, and division administrators in identifying and analyzing operational problems, collecting recommendations, implementing solutions, and approving policies and procedures that ensure the department operates at the highest efficiency. This position is responsible for the development of the annual budgets for the clinics and supervision of clinic managers and staff.
