Thoracic Medical Oncologist at the University of Florida. The University of Florida Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time medical oncologist for a clinician-researcher track position in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant Professor rank or higher. This position seeks a board-certified/board-eligible medical oncologist with experience and interest in thoracic oncology and developing and conducting clinical trials. Applicants must be eligible for a Florida Medical License. This individual will have a primarily clinical assignment but will also be expected to develop, participate in, and lead clinical/translational research projects; embrace team-oriented research; engage in teaching students, housestaff, and fellows in the clinic and inpatient settings; and provide direct patient care at our Gainesville campus. A track record of prior clinical research and scholarly activity is highly preferred. Academic interests could include translational research, early-phase clinical trials, symptom management, observational studies, and/or health disparities.
