Job Description:

Recruitment and Candidate Sourcing - Leads and presents at recruiting events including off-site information sessions, corporate education fairs, MBA fairs, open houses, alumni events, MBA Forums, and World MBA tour, etc.  Displays charisma, leadership, strong communication, tactical selling skills, and demonstrates proven success as an influential presenter or educator to large groups.  Deploys online information sessions via Zoom, or similar technology. Develops strategy for campus outreach partnerships, honors program, specialized master’s degrees in Hough, undergraduate Heavener students, top tier graduate programs, and UF joint/concurrent degrees. Responsible for interpreting and abiding by admissions regulations and policies. Conduct high-quality prospect phone calls.

Admissions related events - across the MBA Programs entire portfolio. He/she will collaborate with the director, team, and other key stakeholders to develop a year-round calendar for recruitment and admitted student events and manage the strategy, planning, execution, staffing, and communication of the events. Additionally, the Assistant Director leads and presents at recruiting events including on-campus events with our combination degree and partnership programs. Additionally, off-site information sessions, corporate education fairs, MBA fairs, open houses, alumni events, MBA Forums, MBA Career Fairs, ROMBA, MBA Veterans, Prospanica, National Black MBA, World MBA tour, etc. He/she must display charisma, leadership, strong communication, tactical selling skills, and demonstrates proven success as an influential presenter or educator to large groups. He/she designs and deploys online information sessions via Teams, Zoom, or similar technology.

Admissions Strategy – The Assistant Director oversees the design and implementation of an inclusive Full-Time MBA Recruitment plan. Establishes the direction, goals, implementation strategies and policies for the Full Time MBA Program. Leads efforts to promote the UF MBA and create or improve campus partnerships and diversity outreach programs. Provides senior program administration with market driven ideas for new programs, develops new recruiting initiatives consistent with student attitudes and trends, implements strategies to improve recruitment and yield efforts for Full Time MBA Program. Uses SalesForce/Pardot CRM daily to support recruiting strategy and track applicant pool and candidate progress.

Admissions Activities - Reviews all Full-Time MBA applications and initial screening of Full-Time MBA applicants. Conducts interviews and participates in the Full-Time Admissions Committee which determines offers of admissions. Presents weekly reports regarding class composition, deposit tracking and numerical averages tied to strength of class to the committee. Manages and executes awarding of $1.2 million scholarship budget. Communicates efficiently and effectively to all candidates regarding rationale for final committee decision.

Supervision - supervises full-time staff members and oversees the Admissions Ambassadors. He/she sets performance standards, accountability, and conducts annual performance reviews (for professional staff). The Associate Director oversees the annual training of Admissions Ambassadors and ensures a high-level of understanding of admission requirements and current student resources.

Other duties - projects, deliverables, or reports assigned from the Director of Admissions and UF MBA Program Administration.

Expected Salary:

$65,000 - $70,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including strong oral presentation skills and poise
  • High levels of energy, motivation, and organization
  • Ability to strategize, plan, execute, and manage events
  • Understanding and experience of Slate, Salesforce, and Peoplesoft Campus Solutions
  • Professional presence to support relationship building with all key MBA Program, Warrington College of Business and industry stakeholders
  • Experience working in academic administration and previous collaboration with academic personnel
  • An MBA or master’s degree with at least three to five years of direct experience in recruiting or sales and proven relationship selling skills with a strong knowledge base of MBA curriculum and general business
