Job Description:

Provide administrative support to the College of Education in the area of student recruitment and graduate admissions. This position serves as a member of the EduGator Central/Student Services team and reports to the Assistant Director for Student Services. This position will assist in the advisement of prospective students and processing of graduate applications. Additionally, this position works with their supervisor, EduGator team, and program coordinators in the planning and execution of student recruitment efforts, including assisting in the design, creation, and distribution of materials, scheduling and implementation of student recruitment events, collecting admission and retention data, and representing the College of Education at recruitment events.

Graduate Admissions

  • Coordinate admissions deadlines, processes, and policies with COE graduate program coordinators. Proactively interact with applicants to encourage application completion. Process graduate applications and release decisions.



Graduate Student Recruitment

  • Meet with and advise prospective students on COE graduate programs. Provide prospective students with literature, website referrals, and contact information for graduate program coordinators. Create and execute plan for recruitment activities. Maintain deep understanding of COE graduate program inventory. Assist in developing and maintaining student recruitment materials in print and online.



Student Scholarships and Awards

  • Assist in the COE student scholarship process from planning through execution and follow up, including collaborating with other COE and campus offices to ensure integrity in the process and timely execution of awards and communications to students. Oversee student award process, including announcements, facilitating decision making processes, and communications.

Undergraduate Student Recruitment

  • Participate in orientation/recruitment opportunities with campus partners (Preview, Open House, Florida Days, Major/Minor Fair etc.). 



Liaise with Campus Partners

  • Center for New Student, Parent & Family Engagement, UF International Center

Other duties as assignedMonday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with some evening and weekend hours for college/university recruitment and admission events.

Expected Salary:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent oral and written communication skills, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work with frequent interruptions, and pace the work to meet deadlines. Ability to work in a busy office environment with co-workers, students, and faculty; demonstrating good interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of UF student and data systems and admission procedures beneficial.
