Conduct planting, harvesting, and data collection on yield and disease parameters. Maintains data according to guidelines set by the team leader.
Stage 4 Evaluation: Review 10-13 genotypes at 10 locations (7 muck soil, 3 sand soil), with 4-6 replications per location. Perform the collection of yield and disease data in collaboration with technicians. Ensure accurate and timely data management and reporting.
Support for Other Stages Assist with the evaluation of sugarcane clones at various stages of the breeding program. Participate in planting, maintenance, and data collection for Seedling, Stage 1, and Stage 2 Evaluations.
Coordination and Communication Collaborate with USDA Scientists and UF Colleagues on advanced selection testing of sugarcane clones. Schedule and manage meetings or communications to align testing protocols and data sharing. Ensure all parties are updated on progress, challenges, and results.
