Job Description:

Conducting Research

  • Literature Review and Analysis: Engage with current scientific literature to inform research directions. Actively contribute new ideas, engage in scientific discussions, and provide expertise to explore novel concepts.
  • Research and Publication: Conduct original research, analyze data, and contribute to manuscript and grant writing. Develop and publish abstracts and articles to disseminate research findings. Present data at scientific meetings and conferences.
  • Grant Application: Submit proposals to secure research funding.
  • Immunological Experiments: Perform a range of immunological experiments and data analysis, including but not limited to flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA, and animal imaging.
  • Advanced Data Analysis: Conduct Next-Gen Sequencing data analysis and Single Cell RNA-seq analysis to advance research objectives.

Supervising and Teaching/Mentoring

  • Student Mentorship: Mentor and teach undergraduate students in UF scientific programs, fostering their development and encouraging their involvement in research activities.
  • Supervision of Scholars: Supervise visiting scholars and technologists engaged in relevant research, ensuring a productive and collaborative environment.
  • Lab Environment Management: Contribute to maintaining a positive lab environment, promoting a spirit of collaboration and mutual support among team members.
Expected Salary:

$58,609-$65,000

Minimum Requirements:

M.D., Ph.D. or M.D/Ph.D.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph. D in Biology, immunology, or cancer biology and immunotherapy.
  • Expertise in immunological assays.
  • Expertise in molecular biology and gene editing.
  • Expertise in multiplex immunohistochemistry analysis.
  • Expertise in Single-Cell RNA-seq analysis.
