Job Description:
The University of Florida, College of Medicine Jacksonville (UF COM-J) Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at UF Health Jacksonville is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Physician with specialized training to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will hold a faculty appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on experience and qualifications. This position involves providing high-quality patient care during daytime hours in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
 
  • Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the CVICU during daytime hours, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Engage in teaching activities, including the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based protocols and guidelines within the CVICU.
  • Contribute to the division’s research activities, with opportunities for involvement in clinical trials and other scholarly projects.
  • Engage in service activities within the division, department, and institution as required.
  • Maintain active involvement in relevant professional societies and continuous professional development.

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable; commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates should have a MD/DO and be BE/BC in Critical Care

Preferred Qualifications:
MD/DO specializing in Critical Care with high interest and expertise in postoperative care of cardiothoracic surgical patients. Commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
