Responsibilities:
Project Implementation and Design
- Create an agenda that supports the goals and objectives of the Florida Advantage Tutoring program in alignment with Science of Reading guidelines and the Center’s vision and strategy for Reading.
- Work with the other Lastinger Center associates to implement outreach efforts, such as webinars or presentations, to educate and recruit potential districts on the benefits of the Florida Tutoring Advantage program.
- Design, develop and present information on the Florida Tutoring Advantage program.
- Assist districts in reviewing tutoring programs, professional learning programs, curriculum, and resources to ensure that they adhere to the science of reading guidelines.
- Responsible for assisting in the interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures as they apply to the Florida Tutoring Advantage program. May recommend changes on policy/procedures as necessary.
- Act as liaison between Florida Tutoring Advantage and outside agencies, which may include interviewing subject matter experts and/or conducting research to develop instructional content.
- Manage resources assigned to the Florida Tutoring Advantage program to accomplish specific goals/objectives.
- Assist in developing a tutoring framework that combines content-related expertise and tutoring research-based best practices.
- Provides advice and guidance for comprehensive learning and training programs including course/project scope, timeline, materials, and course evaluation.
- Provides analytical support for the design and development of training curricula, learning strategies, educational policies, or courseware standards.
Team Supervision and Coordination
- Lead the regional staff in Literacy to support districts.
- Serve as liaison between the regional staff and leadership.
- Coordinate with the team to effectively respond to district needs.
- Collaborate with the Literacy team to ensure FTA resources and initiatives in alignment with Science of Reading guidelines and the Center’s vision and strategy for Reading.
- Work with managers across the center to ensure processes and systems are established and maintained.
- Schedule and facilitate recurring meetings with teams to support ongoing projects and address relevant issues.
- Work with the Assistant Director, Florida Tutoring Advantage to create an onboarding plan to support the successful transition of new employees.
Project Analysis
- Work with the Assistant Director, Florida Tutoring Advantage to track progress toward quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Collaborate across teams on gathering metrics for objectives and key results (OKR)
- Stay abreast of changes and share information from the field to guide ongoing refinement of products and services.
- Work with the others to gather and share information about partner progress with the Assistant Director and other team members to ensure partners' success.
- Disseminate research findings on Literacy related programs.
- Conducts needs assessments.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of training materials to ensure objectives are accomplished.
Other duties as assigned
This position will travel for an assigned business purpose frequently (3+/mth)

Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in the office so long as an employee’s FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek. This policy also allows for occasional, incidental remote work based on individual circumstances.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Content area expertise
- Professional Educator Certification
- Experience working in teaching, tutoring, project coordination and/or school administration.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, organization, communication skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple competing demands, meet deadlines, anticipate and identify conflicts, and flexible thinking to solve problems quickly and calmly.
- Experience in family engagement efforts
- Experience working directly with local organizations, nonprofits and school district personnel
