Job Description: |
Dispensing clean instruments to dental students and departments, using computer program INFO-DOT. Collecting, tracking, and processing dirty instruments according to sterilization protocol.
Disinfecting and sterilizing dental instruments for all UFCD dental students and the UFCD dental clinics: Replacing of broken or missing instruments for UFCD dental students.
Recording incoming and outgoing instruments from students and departments.
Oiling and maintaining instruments.
Serves as back-up support to Central Sterilization Supervisor.
Labeling and scanning with the INFO-DOT program.
In-service training (updates, new sterilization techniques, and computer classes).
Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary: |
$16.00/hr, commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma or equivalent.
|
Preferred Qualifications: |
• Dental Assistant certification or equivalent training.
• Ability to prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to plan, organize, and perform work assignments.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to pay attention to details.
CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
