Job Description: |
The Moonah Lab in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases & Global Medicine seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate (RA). The RA is responsible for designing, managing, and conducting experiments on molecular biology and gut inflammation. The project aims to identify mechanisms that protect the gut from infectious pathogens. A willingness to work with mice is necessary, and an understanding of molecular biology is recommended.
Postdoctoral employment is temporary and is normally limited to an individual who has been awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate within the previous five years and who will be involved in full-time research or scholarship at the University. Employment as a Postdoctoral Research Associate is viewed as training and is preparatory for a full-time academic or research career, is supervised by a senior scholar, and allows the appointee to publish the results of his/her research or scholarship during the training period. Also, the post-doctoral associate is expected to contribute to an environment that fosters cooperation and duties will involve the occasional supervision and training of technicians, graduate students, undergraduates, and student workers, and other related duties as required.
The anticipated start date is July 1st, 2025, but the position will remain open until filled.

Expected Salary: |
Anticipated hiring range is $58,656 to $60,000, negotiable, commensurate with education and experience. |
