The Opportunity Admissions Officer II – Graduate Admissions & Recruitment University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications
The College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Admissions Officer II to support recruitment, marketing, admissions processing, and student services for our in-residence master’s and Ph.D. programs. This position plays a key role in shaping the future of our graduate community by attracting and supporting top-tier students.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Outreach: Represent and promote all graduate programs through information sessions, graduate fairs, campus events, and professional association meetings. Serve as the primary point of contact for admissions inquiries, providing accurate information and excellent customer service.
- Marketing & Promotion: Design, manage, and maintain marketing materials, including the Graduate Studies website and social media platforms. Oversee marketing projects, track expenses, and ensure compliance with university procurement policies.
- Admissions Management: Oversee application processes by ensuring complete files, routing applications to faculty reviewers, and maintaining compliance with UF Graduate School and Admissions policies.
- Data Tracking & Reporting: Track applications, admissions, and enrollment data, prepare reports, and stay current on national trends and best practices in graduate admissions.
- International Student Support: Process immigration visa paperwork for new and continuing international students and provide guidance on available student support services.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively across divisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM, Slate, and related technical systems for recruiting, admissions, monitoring, and enrollment.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and presentation software such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
