Job Description:

 

In collaboration with the Spine Center’s Research Coordinator—and at times working independently—this position supports day-to-day clinical research activities within the Spine Program. The role contributes to the successful execution of clinical studies by assisting with participant identification, data collection, and coordination of research-related activities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen clinic schedules and medical records in Epic and other research platforms to identify potential clinical trial participants.

  • Administer Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) via MyChart or paper formats, as appropriate.

  • Support data collection, data coordination, and accurate data entry for ongoing clinical research studies.

  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of volunteers who shadow Spine Center physicians.

  • Support informed consent discussions in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with coordination, collection, and processing of research samples, as applicable.

  • Collaborate closely with research staff, clinical providers, and study teams to ensure smooth research operations.

  • Perform additional duties consistent with those of a Clinical Research Assistant or early-career Clinical Research Coordinator, as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$25.00 per Hour

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or an allied health professional degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

Prior research experience working with critically ill patients and their families.
