Job Description:

This entry level position reports to the Director, Compliance ADA/504 Coordinator and provides routine compliance and case management support related to reasonable accommodations and access. The position assists with the review, coordination, and documentation of ADA accommodation requests, supports compliance reviews, and maintains accurate records in accordance with university policies and applicable regulations. The role requires a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Case Management and Compliance Support
•Serve as a point of contact for employees requesting reasonable accommodations under the direction of the ADA/504 Coordinator
•Assist with coordinating the interactive process in accordance with established ADA procedures
•Review accommodation requests and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance with UF policies
•Coordinate meetings, information sessions, and communications with employees, supervisors, UFHR, and other campus partners
•Document meetings, discussions, and other activity taken throughout the interactive process and the management of employee accommodation cases.
•Draft accommodation-related documentation for review and approval
•Assist with monitoring implementation of approved accommodations
•Maintain accurate, confidential electronic case files, logs and tracking records

Compliance Review, Records and Reporting
•Review ADA-related files to confirm required documentation and case notes are present, and that other identified steps have been completed.
•Notify submitters of required corrections or outstanding follow-up items.
•Maintain accurate and complete compliance databases, calendars and tracking systems.
•Compile documentation and data in support of compliance reviews, audits and assessments.
•Generate routine reports related to accommodation requests, case activity and compliance metrics.

Communication and Forms Review
•Prepare clear written communications regarding accommodation outcomes, implementation steps, and follow up options
•Review and coordinate responses to accessibility concern forms submitted by the UF community
•Assist with reviewing and updating operational forms and guidance materials to reflect changes in laws, regulations, or procedures

Collaboration and Campus Support
•Respond to basic ADA and reasonable accommodation inquiries from faculty, staff, and departments
•Refer complex or sensitive issues to the ADA/504 Coordinator and/or Senior ADA Case Manager, as appropriate
•Coordinate with UF partners, including UFHR, DRC, Central Leave, TAPS, EH&S and other departments, as appropriate

Other Duties and Events
•Perform other duties as assigned in support of the ADA Office
•Participation in training to gain/enhance knowledge of disability-related laws and regulations
•Assist with ADA Office events such as trainings, workshops, orientations, and campus accessibility programs

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

•A bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, rehabilitation services, or a related field is required, with a master’s degree preferred with 1 or more years experience.
•Interest in and commitment to accessibility and inclusion. A strong knowledge of ADA, related laws is essential, along with excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
•Experience in case management or service coordination.
•Experience in ADA case management, disability services, or compliance in higher education or a comparable setting.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Professional demeanor and demonstrated customer service focus, sound judgment, sensitivity and respect for others. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and manage sensitive records in compliance with institutional and legal standard. Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Salesforce, Adobe, websites and databases. Interested in and comfortable learning new technical skills and managing data in a database.
•Interested in and comfortable solving problems and mediating between others.  Experience working in a constantly changing environment
