Job Description:

The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to an interdisciplinary project focused on developing and validating physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and model‑based meta‑analysis (MBMA) frameworks in maternal-fetal pharmacology.

The applicant will conduct systematic data review and extraction from clinical and physiological literature, curate databases for PBPK model development, and implement mechanistic maternal–fetal PBPK models.

The candidate will perform model development, qualification, and simulation studies.

They will integrate dose–exposure–response modeling by linking PBPK outputs with MBMA-derived pharmacodynamic relationships.

The postdoctoral researcher will prepare scientific reports and manuscripts, present findings at internal meetings, and collaborate closely with the PI, co-investigators, and external consultants.

Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical engineering, systems pharmacology, or a related field
  • Experience with PBPK or PK/PD modeling using platforms such as Simcyp, PK-Sim, or similar tools
  • Strong quantitative and computational skills, including proficiency in R
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret pharmacokinetic data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with evidence of peer‑reviewed publications
Preferred:
  • Experience with maternal–fetal or pregnancy-related modeling
  • Familiarity with model-based meta analysis
  • Background in enzyme/transporter ontogeny or hormone‑mediated induction mechanisms
  • Experience working with clinical PK datasets, including model verification against observed data
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple modeling tasks
