Job Description:

The Executive Recruiter partners with high-level stakeholders to define hiring needs, source, recruit and evaluate top talent for senior-level and mission-critical positions across the organization. This role manages high-impact searches, influence hiring outcomes, and ensure a positive candidate experience reflective of the organization’s leadership standards. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Executive-Level Recruitment & Strategy

  • Consults with departments to understand talent needs and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Lead comprehensive candidate evaluation efforts, including in-depth review of application materials and strategic exploratory interviews, advancing top-tier talent for hiring authority and executive stakeholder consideration.
  • Represent the organization at executive networking forums, industry events, career summits, and community engagement initiatives to proactively build and sustain high-quality talent pipelines.
  • Conduct rigorous pre-screening and assessment of candidates’ professional experience, leadership competencies, education, and cultural alignment to determine overall suitability and long-term organizational alignment.

Candidate Assessment & Selection

  • Govern recruiting documentation and end-to-end workflows to ensure compliance requirements, process integrity, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of recruiting operations.
  • Orchestrate complex interview processes, including scheduling and coordinating multi-stakeholder interview panels, advising interviewers, and synthesizing structured feedback to inform hiring decisions.

Offer Development & Hiring Lifecycle

  • Support departments in managing the offer process end-to-end, including preparation, extension, negotiation, and communication of employment offer in alignment with organizational strategy and market conditions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to candidates by clearly communicating role scope, executive expectations, total rewards, benefits, and long-term career pathways aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics and labor market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, informing continuous improvement and strategic talent acquisition decisions.

Leadership & Advisory Support

  • Handles complex recruiting issues and exercising sound judgment and escalating only matters of significant risk or strategic importance to senior leadership.
  • Provides strategic coaching, mentorship, and advisory support to recruitment staff, strengthening capability, consistency, and performance across the function.
  • Serves as a lead recruiter and operational leader for assigned search engagements, with responsibility for oversight, coordination, and execution of search activity and initiatives.
  • Lead or contribute to small- to mid-scale recruiting consulting initiatives, providing subject-matter expertise, process optimization, and stakeholder advisory support.


Expected Salary:

$92,200 - $100,000; Commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
  • Proven ability to partner with hiring managers as a talent advisor.
  • Experience translating departmental needs into clear candidate profiles and sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to support or lead small to mid-scale recruiting projects (process improvement, pipeline building, or targeted hiring initiatives)
  • Experience using recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, applicant flow)
  • Ability to provide career guidance to internal employees and collaborate with HR partners on talent development
  • Understanding of workforce planning and future-ready skill development
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally to candidates, faculty, staff, and external partners while enhancing the institution’s reputation with both candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
