Classification Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning or building construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:

Project Management 

  • Manage UF/IFAS construction projects of varying scope and budget classified as minor projects.

  • Assist in identifying capital improvement, renovation, utility infrastructure, and maintenance needs.

  • Support development of project scopes and assist with contracting design professionals, contractors, and subcontractors.

  • Coordinate with user groups to ensure project requirements, budgets, and timelines are met.

  • Ensure compliance with UF policies, regulations, and funding requirements through project close‑out and warranty phases.

Facilities Analysis & Technical Support 

  • Analyze existing facilities and infrastructure to support project development and cost estimating.

  • Recommend solutions for maintenance, renovation, and infrastructure needs.

  • Research, analyze, and compile data for assigned projects.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to construction and maintenance staff.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support UF/IFAS Facilities Planning and Operations.

 

Expected Salary:

$70,000 - $80,000/yearly commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning or building construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:

•           State university system facilities management preferred.
•           Expertise in renovation and construction management.
•           Experience in site planning.
•           Knowledge of UF Project Tracker, myUF MarketPlace, STARS, Autodesk, BIM 360, and Eagle.
•           Ability to adapt easily to new and changing software.
•           Effective written and verbal communication; Exceptional negotiation skills
•           Ability to secure key stakeholder investment.
•           Understanding of UF funding regulations in relation to construction purchases.
•           Understanding of utilities, blueprints, and basic maintenance equipment.
•           Experience with building permitting, especially EH&S requirements.
