Classification Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and a current degree-seeking student at the University of Florida in good academic standing.
Job Description:

The incumbent will support the Xie lab through a variety of operational and administrative tasks, including:

  • Ordering and managing laboratory supplies
  • Preparing for laboratory safety inspections
  • General laboratory maintenance, such as equipment upkeep, organizing workspaces, and ensuring shared areas remain fully operational
  • Experiment support through data entry, documentation, and basic recordkeeping to assist ongoing research projects
Expected Salary:

$15/hour
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current degree-seeking student at the University of Florida in good academic standing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred:
  • Previous laboratory experience, particularly in the biological sciences
  • Familiarity with basic lab safety practices
  • Experience with inventory tracking, data entry, or administrative support
  • Strong communication skills and reliability
