Business Career Services within the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida seeks a results-driven Associate Director of Employer Relations with experience in agency recruiting, staffing, sales, or business development. This role thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment focused on relationship management, outbound outreach, and talent consulting.
Reporting to the Director of Employer Relations, the Associate Director is responsible for developing and managing recruiting partnerships with employers who hire Warrington students. This position balances new employer acquisition with ongoing account management, translating employer hiring needs into effective recruiting strategies that maximize internship and full-time placement outcomes and deliver a high-quality employer experience.
Working collaboratively with Career Coaches, faculty, and staff, the Associate Director supports student employment outcomes across degree programs, with an emphasis on MBA and Technology talent. This role supervises student assistants and contributes to the strategic planning and execution of employer relations initiatives aligned with the mission of Business Career Services.
New Business Development:
Conduct proactive employer prospecting and outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone, and in-person engagement. Develop and manage a pipeline of employer prospects aligned with student talent and workforce needs. Identify and expand recruiting opportunities with new and existing partners, including MBA and Technology roles. Consult with employers on hiring needs, timelines, and talent availability. Track outreach and engagement against defined goals. Represent the college at recruiting events, alumni engagements, and industry conferences. Travel to key recruitment markets as needed.
Employer Engagement & Relationship Management:
Serve as primary account manager for assigned employer partners. Conduct regular check-ins to assess hiring needs and advise on recruiting strategies, events, and engagement opportunities. Collaborate with career coaches to facilitate employer-student connections. Maintain accurate engagement records and monitor industry trends to support employer satisfaction and retention.
Leadership:
Supervise and guide student assistants supporting employer relations activities. Operate with a high level of independence, sound judgment, and accountability while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Employer Program Development, Collaboration, and Communication:
Collaborate with Business Career Services to plan and execute employer-facing programs and recruiting events. Communicate recruiting opportunities to employers and stakeholders. Analyze recruitment data and feedback to inform continuous improvement. Partner with faculty, student organizations, and campus stakeholders to align employer engagement with academic priorities.
Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned.
