Reporting to the Assistant Provost & Senior Director for Teaching and Technology, the AI Training & Workforce Development Manager leads the design and delivery of AI, machine learning, and data science training programs aligned with real-world workforce and industry needs. This role blends deep technical expertise with instructional leadership, collaborating with faculty and industry partners to deliver rigorous, hands-on learning experiences. Ideal candidates are excited to shape how professionals learn, apply, and evaluate AI-driven solutions in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Program Design & Development: • Design and develop conceptual and advanced AI training programs, integrating adult learning theory, instructional design best practices, and experiential learning approaches. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create course modules covering AI/ML foundations, supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP, deep learning, LLMs, reinforcement learning, and ethical/industry adoption considerations. • Develop instructional materials, datasets, coding notebooks, and learning artifacts that reinforce applied practice. • Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging training technologies (e.g., AI-enabled platforms, coding environments, simulation tools) to enhance learner engagement and program quality.
Program Delivery & Instruction: • Serve as lead instructor for AI/ML training modules, facilitating lectures, workshops, and applied coding sessions. • Guide participants through supervised and unsupervised learning exercises, NLP projects, deep learning models, and applied LLM case studies. • Deliver hands-on instruction using real-world datasets, ensuring participants achieve technical fluency and practical skills. • Support learners through direct coaching, mentoring, and feedback to reinforce mastery of program objectives. • Ensure alignment between curriculum design and training delivery for a consistent and high-quality learner experience.
Evaluation, Research, & Continuous Improvement: • Meet with stakeholders, employers, and industry leaders to assess workforce and educational needs in AI/ML and ensure training is responsive and relevant. • Evaluate training effectiveness and participant achievement of learning outcomes; implement refinements to maintain program rigor, scalability, and impact. • Maintain active knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional technology, and advances in AI education, ensuring the curriculum reflects cutting-edge developments. • Represent the program at professional organizations and conferences, positioning it as a leader in AI/ML workforce training.

| Preferred: |
Master’s degree or higher in business administration, computer science/engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, engineering education, or a related field is required; terminal degree preferred. A minimum of three years of relevant training or teaching experience is required.
Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML program design, curriculum development, and applied instructional delivery is strongly desirable.
