Classification Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in grant and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:

Post-award functions, to include: award set-up in UFIRST and award modifications. Revises
active project listing and PI summaries to add/update funding information as needed. Maintains
accurate files for grant and foundation documents, including NOAs, IRB approvals, and IACUC approvals.
Serves as department contact for human subject payments as necessary.

Back-up pre-award functions, to include: inputting of proposals into UFIRST and myUFL,
provide assistance to faculty and staff as necessary in completing agency forms and collecting and
compiling data for proposal development and submission. Ensuring compliance with institutional,
departmental, and federal guidelines and requirements for human and animal subjects, FCOI policies,
required training, and NIH Public Access policies. Works with the Research Administrator Manager
and Assistant Director, Research Admin, to develop grant budgets according to institution and granting agency
guidelines.

Preparation of reports for all extramural funding in the Department to be provided to the
Research Administrator Manager and Ast Dir, Research Admin for review and distribution to the
department management committee on a monthly basis as well as ad-hoc funding reports as
requested by department administration.

Coordinates with the Pathology Fiscal group to ensure that purchases are appropriately processed
and charged to the correct accounts. Assures that grants have funds in the appropriate category and
processes budget transfers as needed.

Assists faculty with the timely preparation and submission of annual progress reports.

Expected Salary:

Salary range is between $60k - $65k, commensurate with experience 

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in grant and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Prior UF Grant’s management experience. UFIRST and myUFL experience.
