Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Mandatory Training will be the week of May 18th

Must be available during at least one of these summer 4-H events:

  • iLEAD – June 5-7, 2026
  • 4-H Legislature – June 21-26, 2026
  • 4-H University – July 26-30, 2026
  • Supervise and maintain order in sleeping areas during assigned shifts
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by conducting routine checks
  • Respond to any disturbances, emergencies, or requests for assistance
    • Involving 4-H AIC and event coordinators as needed
    • Including Medic as needed
  • Communicate effectively with event staff, volunteers, and participants
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents to the event leader or security team
  • Adhere to curfews and enforce quiet hours
  • Monitor entry points and check-in areas to ensure security protocols are followed
  • Ensure compliance with event rules, including curfews and no-interruption policies
  • Assist youth participants with any questions or needs that arise overnight

 

 

Expected Salary:

$16/hourly

Required Qualifications:
  • Pass DCF level 2 background screening
  • Active driver's license
  • Ability to stay awake and alert during late-night hours

  • Ability to handle emergency procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with youth participants
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Preferred:
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Experience working with youth

  • Organizational operations and event procedures

Provided to Staff

  • Transportation (from Gainesville), lodging, and meals will be provided to staff for all events.
