| Job Description: |
Instructional Design & Assessment
- Support the design and development of scalable, high-quality instructional delivery methods for online and distance learning programs.
- Apply best practices in online education and learning management systems to ensure effective course development and content delivery.
- Develop standardized assessment and evaluation practices to measure program effectiveness.
- Create instructional and educational materials and provide orientation support for online initiatives, including EDGE.
Operational Management & Classroom Support
- Advise and coordinate with college and departmental staff to establish and implement performance standards and policies for online programs.
- Coordinate online and distance learning fee entry and maintain accurate records.
- Oversee EDGE-related registrations, course scheduling, and room requests.
- Provide operational support for EDGE recording studios and instructional equipment during regular business hours and as needed during evenings.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Translate university-level strategic and operational plans into department-specific initiatives.
- Maintain records of program goals and implementation strategies for online and distance education programs, including EDGE.
- Support data collection and reporting to evaluate program performance and inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Respond to general inquiries and office communications.
- Support special projects that advance departmental and college priorities.

| Expected Salary: |
$55,000-$60,000; commensurate with education and experience
|
| Required Qualifications: |
Level I: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level II: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

| Preferred: |
- Master’s degree in STEM education or an advanced degree in engineering, education, or a related field.
- Experience in higher education administration, strategic planning, and program management.
- Strong knowledge of online and distance education trends and best practices.
- Experience implementing and coordinating online/distance education programs, including instructional design principles and learning management systems.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and quality assurance standards in online education.
- Proven project management experience, including goal setting, action planning, and outcome tracking.
- Strong understanding of data analysis and assessment methodologies to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Knowledge of current trends and emerging technologies in engineering education, online learning, and lifelong learning.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, industry, and government partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Understanding of the engineering field and the educational needs of engineering students.
