Job Description:

The Eugene F. Brigham Finance, Insurance & Real Estate Department at the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business is seeking to hire one non-tenure track Clinical Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Insurance, to start fall 2026, who will also serve as the inaugural administrative and academic director of the Risk Management & Insurance program to prepare students for careers in the insurance industry, or for risk management roles and functions in leading organizations. 

Job Description

Primary duties will include teaching a range of risk management, insurance and experiential courses to undergraduate and graduate students that may be taught in person, online, or through other formats (including hybrid, virtual synchronous, or immersions). Assigned duties may also include the development of an undergraduate insurance minor.

The position will also collaborate closely with faculty colleagues, and other college leaders to facilitate insurance-related career exploration opportunities, build and enhance corporate relationships, and develop networking and competency-building events and programs for students.  As Academic Director of the Risk Management & Insurance program, the position will be responsible for related administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred:

Preference will be given to applicants with significant work experience in risk management, insurance or related industries and those who can demonstrate the ability to develop corporate relationships for student career placements.
