Job Description:

Responsibilities are:

Public Relations

• Applies current, research‑based communication strategies to advance institutional objectives. Coordinates the creation and dissemination of high‑level communications including, but not limited to: news releases, multimedia content, and other messaging. Collaborates across college departments on stakeholder and media engagement to promote faculty, student and staff achievements. Co-manages media inquiries, designates spokespersons as appropriate, and ensures coverage accurately reflects the college and its initiatives. Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to foster engagement and support for the college’s long-term goals. Provides tactical guidance to student OPS staff in effective public‑relations practices.

Social Media Content Development, Dissemination, and Assessment

• Implements advanced social media strategies to grow engagement with targeted audiences and achieve organizational objectives. Co-manages the college’s top-level social media accounts, creating and curating content that fosters positive relationships and community building. Ensures the integration of social media efforts across all communications channels and supports sub-accounts within the college. Collaboratively mentors student OPS team members on the social media trends, tools and tactics, helping them to develop and execute effective social media campaigns. Monitors and assesses the performance of social media activities, using analytics to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

Marketing Communications

• Supports ongoing marketing research, planning, execution, and evaluation to sustain a consistent brand and achieve operational objectives for the college. Works with content creators, subject‑matter experts, and faculty, staff and students across departments, to coordinate integrated programs that highlight the college’s degree offerings, faculty expertise, and research outputs. Copyrights and edits for a mix of delivery mechanisms and targeted audiences. Mentors student OPS team members in effective marketing outreach. Assesses communications initiatives, using feedback and performance metrics to refine messaging and tactics, balancing comprehensive oversight with focused, actionable improvement.

Promotion and Advocacy

• Facilitates and participates in events and initiatives that promote the activities of the college; enhance its reputation; and inform, engage, and build support with strategic constituencies including the national and international media, opinion leaders, administrators, faculty, students, staff, alumni, donors and the community.

Analysis and Reporting

• Provides support for the collection of insights and analytics related to the impact of implemented social media campaigns, marketing campaigns and other communications products/output. Disseminates the results of evaluations as appropriate to team and partners, and uses data to inform future campaigns.

Additional duties

• Performs other duties as assigned by the Communications Manager and the Director of E-Learning, Technology, and Communications.

Expected Salary:

$46,000 - $60,000

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s degree and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

Candidates should have superior interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, superior oral and written communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and ability to work proactively to provide wide-range of project support.
