Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Technician preferably with a BS or MS in Molecular Biology (or related field) and substantial hands‑on experience in tissue culture, flow cytometry, DNA isolation, and real‑time PCR.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Design and perform drug‑sensitivity assays, operate flow cytometers, conduct DNA isolation and perform genotyping assays under supervision of research assistant professors and postdoc in the lab.
  • Maintain precise records in laboratory information management systems, prepare detailed assay reports, and adhere to biosafety and regulatory guidelines. Assist in the processing, cryopreservation, and cataloging of patient‑derived samples for the bio‑bank inventory.
Expected Salary:

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in an appropriate area of specialization (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline).
  • Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience, preferably in oncology or stem‑cell research.
Preferred:
  • BS or MS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with minimum of 3 years laboratory experience, preferably in oncology or stem‑cell research.
  • Detail‑oriented, able to troubleshoot assay variability and escalating protocols. Comfortable collaborating with a multi‑disciplinary team. 
  • Proficient in sterile tissue‑culture technique, transfection, and drug‑screening workflows. 
  • Background in flow cytometry, including compensation, fluorescence‑activated cell sorting (FACS), and viicolometry analysis software. 
  • Demonstrated competence in nucleic‑acid extraction, PCR primer design, and qPCR data analysis.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and standard operating procedure (SOP) compliance.
