The University of Florida (UF) Department of Medicine (DOM) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Physician Scientist (MD or, MD/PhD) at the Ast/Aso/Full Professor position level within the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine.
About the Position
We seek an accomplished investigator with a strong record of independent, extramurally funded research to join a dynamic and collaborative academic environment. The successful candidate will expand and lead a robust, innovative research program aligned with divisional priorities, while contributing to clinical care and education. The applicant will be expected to cover clinical services and contribute to the Division’s teaching mission as it relates to students, residents and fellows, with the option for VA 8ths.
The Division’s research strengths include antimicrobial resistance and pharmacotherapy, microbiome research, hospital epidemiology, mycobacterial diseases, HIV, and vector-borne diseases
The Department of Medicine (DOM) Research Hub includes 40 principal investigators across 10 divisions, including five within the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine, providing extensive opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and translational research.
