Minimum Requirements

Job Description:

Career Ambassadors will be trained to:

  • Deliver exceptional, student-centered customer service across all C3 touchpoints, including phones, front desk interactions, Drop-In sessions, career planning appointments, and employer/student referrals
  • Conduct résumé, cover letter, and CV reviews
  • Support students in developing LinkedIn profiles and personal statements
  • Coach students on interview preparation, professional communication, and job/internship search strategies
  • Teach students how to navigate key career technologies and platforms – such as labor market data tools, major and career exploration systems, resume and mock interview software, and LinkedIn features – by demonstration step-by-step usage and guiding peers in applying insights to their own career goals.
  • Provide guidance on industry concepts, basic career terminology, and experiential learning opportunities
  • Offer inclusive and confidence-building support to students selecting clothing in the Molm Family Gator Career Closet

Outreach, Facilitation & Campus Engagement

  • Facilitate career development presentations for classrooms, student organizations, and campus partners on topics such as résumé writing, career design, experiential learning, and professionalism
  • Represent the C3 through tabling events, workshops, orientations, and campus-wide initiatives
  • Serve as a peer educator and visible ambassador for career readiness across campus

Operations, Leadership & Special Projects

  • Support the daily operations of the Molm Family Gator Career Closet, including customer service, inventory support, data tracking, and maintaining a professional environment
  • Assist with Career Showcase and other major C3 programs and events
  • Participate in special projects related to student career development, employer engagement, resource creation, and Career Foundations initiatives, including collaborative efforts that strengthen connections between students and industry partners.
  • Attend monthly professional development sessions, ongoing trainings, and supervisory coaching
  • Manage administrative tasks such as logging student information, responding to emails, and contributing to team processes

Work Schedule

The Career Connections Center is open Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Career Ambassadors work approximately 10-20 hours per week during regular business hours.

During peak seasons (e.g., Career Week), some evening hours (5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.) may be required based on team needs.

Expected Salary:

$14.00/hour
