The Educational Program Writer will support the residency training program by assisting with the drafting, organization, and development of curriculum materials. This role focuses on producing clear, well-structured written documents that strengthen the educational infrastructure of the program. The position requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and academic leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Writing

  • Draft, revise, and format written materials for the residency didactic curriculum.
  • Collaborate with faculty and program leadership to gather information needed for curriculum content development.
  • Ensure all educational documents are clear, accurate, consistent, and aligned with program expectations.
  • Compile lecture materials (PowerPoints, reading materials) and upload them to Teams and/or Canvas.
  • Assist with scheduling lectures through e-mail communication and the use of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Work with the education team to ensure residents are aware of any lecture scheduling changes.
  • Collect student/resident evaluations and present evaluation data to help the team continually improve the curriculum.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, well‑organized documents.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, follow directions, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and document‑sharing platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education, graduate medical education (GME), or academic program support.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, instructional materials, or academic documentation.

Salary: $22.00/hr.
