Job Description:

This position involves working closely with the department’s Director of Hospital Dentistry.  This position coordinates all aspects of planning, scheduling, and obtaining insurance authorization of the Operating Room (OR)/General Anesthesia cases for Pediatric Dentistry.  This position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the interdisciplinary cases with respective medical and dental specialties.  This position works closely with representatives from the University of Florida (UF) Health facilities (Shands Hospital, Florida Surgical Center, and Children’s Surgical Center) and is the direct liaison with parents/guardians of the department’s patients.

This position is responsible for preparation and accurate reporting of faculty assignments and effort reporting.  This position is responsible for departmental space reports, inventory of property, and faculty support.

This position is responsible for coordination of the Mini-Residency and Gainesville Externship programs as well as monitoring Gainesville/Naples resident leave.

Prepares correspondence and related documents as necessary.  Perform related duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant office experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience.
