Job Description:

The Program Manager, College Operations & Strategic Initiatives provides operational, administrative, and program management support to the Executive Director of Operations & Strategic Initiatives. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of college‑wide projects and operational initiatives that advance the College of Nursing.
The Program Manager serves as a coordination and execution resource for initiatives that span academic, administrative, and functional units. The position focuses on operational readiness, project planning and tracking, documentation, reporting, governance support, and effective use of systems and tools that enable consistent, high‑quality execution across the College.
Responsibilities may shift across operational and strategic initiatives based on priority needs, including accreditation preparation, systems implementations, pilot programs, policy or process improvements, and coverage for cyclical demand (e.g., semester start‑up, audits, major launches).

Operational & Programmatic Support 
- Provide operational coordination and support for college‑wide programs, initiatives, and functional priorities.
- Serve as a central point of contact for day‑to‑day operational needs related to assigned initiatives, ensuring alignment across units.
- Support implementation and ongoing maintenance of operational systems and tools used to manage college programs and activities.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize operational documentation, procedures, and reference materials.
- Coordinate information flow between leadership, departments, and project teams to ensure timely communication and issue resolution.
- Support compliance and audit activities by organizing documentation, tracking requirements, and coordinating responses.


Program Planning, Development & Management 
- Provide program and project management support for college operations and strategic initiatives from planning through execution.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables for multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Monitor progress, identify risks or barriers, and support mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
- Prepare high‑quality reports, executive briefs, presentations, and governance materials for leadership and oversight bodies.
- Coordinate cross‑functional workgroups and task forces, including agenda development, meeting facilitation support, minute‑taking, and maintenance of decision and action logs.
- Track action items and ensure timely follow‑through on decisions and commitments.


Reporting, Assessment & Impact Tracking 
- Collect, clean, and prepare qualitative and quantitative data for analysis.
- Develop summaries, reports, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor milestones, risks, performance outcomes, and engagement across multiple initiatives.
- Analyze and synthesize environmental scan materials, process reviews, and trend data to inform decision-making.
- Manage project and operational initiative dashboards in platforms such as Smartsheet and ClearPoint Strategy, ensuring accurate KPI and progress tracking.
- Maintain organized systems for shared documents, project repositories and compliance materials.

Expected Salary:

$70,000-$80,000

Required Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Education, Public Health, Health Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline).
• Experience providing high‑level administrative or program coordination support within a large academic, healthcare, or research environment.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to anticipate needs and develop proactive solutions.
• Demonstrated success working in interdisciplinary settings involving faculty, clinicians, administrators, and external partners.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and meeting materials.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
