| Job Description: |
The Mobile Outreach Clinic (MOC) delivers highly flexible health care to the medically under-served people in low-income neighborhoods and rural areas in and around Alachua County. As of FY26, MOC operates four distinct clinical programs: 1) Urban Primary Care: operates in Gainesville on a 1995 Blue Bird bus, 2) Rural Primary Care: operates in Gilchrist, Levy, and Dixie Counties in a Sprinter van, 3) OBGYN: operates in Alachua, Gilchrist, and Columbia Counties on a 2014 Thomas Chassis, and 4) Street Medicine, providing medical and social services to unsheltered citizens of Alachua County who are experiencing homelessness.
The OPS Scheduling Specialist will provide best practice customer service to a diverse patient population, many with Limited English Proficiency (LEP), which may include: handling patient phone calls, scheduling MOC clinic appointments, registering patient information in Epic, and coordinating clinic visits and transportation for patients. The Scheduling Specialist position is 40 hours a week and will be onsite in the MOC office (CG-78). Some after-hours may be required based on patient availability. Pay will be $15 per hour.
General Responsibilities:
- Schedule patients for clinic appointments in real time when patients call into the office, when possible.
- Complete reminder calls for patient appointments.
- Provide resources for patients if social needs are expressed during scheduling phone call.
- Keep running list of patients requesting appointments in Epic and work through these during office shifts.
- Maintain clinic schedule template in Epic for all MOC vehicles.
- Serve as point of contact for volunteer providers and internal UF and UF Health programs who will be providing care on MOC vehicles.
- Provides backup support and coverage for answering MOC office phones including during UF breaks and holidays.
- Attend monthly MOC staff meetings, monthly MOC QI meetings, and biweekly OB operations meetings.
- Provide occasional back support for check-in/check-out duties in clinic as needed to cover staff time off.
- Other office and clinic tasks as assigned.

- Native Spanish speaking proficiency
- Experience as a Care Coordinator in MOC
- Microsoft Office experience
- General understanding of MOC office workflows
- Ability to work independently and take lead on projects
- Flexibility and adaptability
