Job Description:

The Marketing Assistant will support the design, development, production, and distribution of marketing and communications materials related to the comprehensive marketing plans for the offices within the Career & Integrative Partnerships Portfolio. To implement marketing objectives within the portfolio, this role will create promotional communications and collateral materials, including print and electronic media. Responsibilities include graphic design, layout, branding, digital and print production, promotional materials, publications, banners, signage, presentations, social media graphics, and other creative assets supporting programs and the student experience.

The Marketing Assistant will assist with the development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials, both digital and print, by working with internal creative teams, external vendors, and partners inside and outside of the portfolio. The Marketing Assistant will regularly communicate with various stakeholders through electronic and printed media, including websites, annual reports, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.

The Marketing Assistant will assist with website organization and updates for offices within the portfolio and collaborate with campus partners for technical and design assistance related to the department's web-based and online marketing presence. This includes maintaining the quality and accuracy of the aesthetics, content, accessibility, and general format of outgoing communications via websites and digital applications. Additionally, this role will assist in maintaining departmental social media accounts. This may include social media campaigns and activities, creating effective online promotions, and building awareness for department programs, services, and events.

The Marketing Assistant will aid in supporting brand and marketing-related projects, events, and initiatives for the Career & Integrative Partnerships Portfolio. This includes coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, tracking deadlines and deliverables, preparing materials for production, coordinating with vendors and campus partners, and supporting the implementation of marketing plans and campaigns. This position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain project timelines, and work with various communication and marketing platforms while ensuring brand consistency across all materials.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager for Special Initiatives, Career & Integrative Partnerships, or other appropriate administrator. Attend staff and one-on-one supervision meetings to ensure clear communication with colleagues and supervisors. Participates in department, division, and university-wide committees. May have indirect impact on the position duties of other staff members. Lives out departmental values in all aspects of job function.

Expected Salary:

$23.94

Required Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE

Knowledge

• Demonstrate knowledge of and experience in managing printing processes and pre-press production requirements.

• Demonstrated knowledge of graphic design principles, branding standards, and print production processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and WordPress
Website management and audio editing experience

Skills
• Communications skills (verbal and written); demonstrated proficiency and excellence in writing and editing high level communications for varying target demographics.
