As a member of our nursing staff, you will play an instrumental role in instructing veterinary students in technical skills and performing medical treatments and procedures as directed by our veterinarians. Certification or licensure as a veterinary technician is preferred, but not required.
Typically schedules consist of working five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per work week. We are currently hiring for individuals to work Evening Shift. Assigned days may vary Sunday through Saturday, weekends and holidays included.
However, reassignment to a different primary shift (Day shift, Evening Shift or Night Shift), rotating shifts, split shifts, extended shifts and paid “on-call duty” may be required and assigned depending on hospital needs.
This individual is considered essential personnel which may include reporting to work during Main Campus closures.
Expected Salary: $18-25 Hourly
Minimum Requirements:
Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or one year of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician II: High school diploma or equivalent; four years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital; and certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician.
