| Job Description: |
All Reitz Union student employees must:
- Be a current UF degree seeking student registered at a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester
- Respond to and assist with emergency situations and building evacuations per department procedures or as instructed by building management staff
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Establish an exemplary work ethic by being proactive, self-motivated, and dependable
- Participate in all scheduled meetings, trainings, and evaluations
- Act as an ambassador for all areas within the Reitz Union, as well as the University of Florida, providing accurate information and campus resources
Position Description:
- Graphic Design: Conceptualize and produce high-quality graphics for events, social media, websites, digital displays, print materials, and special projects such as promotional items, apparel, and other building needs
- Social Media Support: Collaborate with and support full-time staff and part-time student social media content creators to develop visually engaging content aligned with current trends and UF brand standards.
- Brand Consistency: Proof all designs for spelling, grammar, and visual consistency to uphold the UF brand standards
- Print Production: Prepare and format artwork files for professional print production
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain the Reitz Union's library of design assets, working files, and media files
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Specialist and internal clients to plan, develop, and execute design projects from concept to completion
- Independence: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver polished work on time with minimal supervision
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as needed
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as other industry-standard design tools
- Experience using Apple Mac computers
Availability:
- Must be able to work at least 10–20 hours per week
- Availability during weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed

| Required Qualifications: |

| Preferred: |
- Experience with photography, videography, or video editing
- Knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and Facebook, and familiarity with current trends
- Background or coursework in marketing or copywriting
