Job Description:

Operations Management
• Perform administrative and coordination tasks for the Finance Professional
• Stay current on business affairs, UF and college regulations regarding event planning, risk mitigation, and approved vendors.
• Using a project management tool, track the progress of program activities for the academic year.
• Manage program's budget by tracking spending across accounts and submitting necessary paperwork, forms, and receipts to process payments and reimbursements.
• Coordinate logistics and schedule for visiting industry professionals and firms.  Register visitors and send out itineraries.
• Work with the college's Marketing and Communications Services Office to take professional pictures and videos at FPD events, and prepare collateral highlighting the program.
• In collaboration with Warrington Business Career Services, become knowledgeable about scope of finance jobs, learning their career paths and which firms offer summer and starting analyst roles, while maintaining a database of current junior summer finance internship job opportunities intended to result in full-time placement offers
• Build and manage a robust database of program contacts and help maintain the relationships

Industry Engagement
Work in conjunction with Finance Professional Development (FPD) Director, staff, and with Business Career Services and Warrington College Development and Alumni Affairs teams to:
• Set up industry engagement and communicate with alumni and recruiters to expand networking opportunities in target finance areas.
• Partner with Warrington Business Career Services to maintain personal relationships with the hiring firms, staying in tune with their hiring needs and calendars, helping identify ideal students
• Attend FPD meetings, events, industry engagements, and trips that are significant to building and maintaining hiring relationships
• Promote participation in the FPD program and collaborate with college stakeholders as needed.

Event Planning / Marketing
• Negotiate with appropriate vendors and reserve transportation, flights, and lodging for program events.
• Process vendor payments and travel requests, and reimbursements
• Process necessary student waivers and volunteer forms for HR and pertinent information for every FPD leader and participant.
• Order food and supplies for program events.
• Manage event budgets.
• Maintains, develops, and posts to all current and future FPD program social media platforms.
• As students self-select specific industry roles and firms, coordinate with FPD track leaders to determine an effective internship placement strategy for the student, including relevant certifications, student involvements, and technical training.

Academic Support Services & Supervision
• Development (FPD) program, including student registration, industry partners management, and budgeting.
• Ensure best practices in office systems, files, and record keeping.
• Update student resources to Canvas and Microsoft Teams.
• Perform and attend College and University meetings as needed.
• Reserve rooms for meetings, FPD sessions, workshops, panels, and other events.
• Process scholarships.
• Supervise student staff
• Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary: $70,000-$75,000, Commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience creating, planning, organizing, directing, teaching and coordinating a variety of student development as well as relationship building events.
Experience building and managing relationships with potential hiring firms and alumni.
Record of placing students in internship and full-time jobs.
Strong computer skills.
