Bachelor's degree in Health Education and Behavior, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Public Health, Kinesiology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:

Participant Recruitment and Study Procedures

  • Assist in development of project standard operating procedures and forms
  • Recruit and retain study participants; schedule and coordinate all team members involved in testing
  • Administer research procedures and assessments, including cognitive assessments and other study-specific testing
  • Coordinate day-to-day logistics for research project(s), including scheduling of imaging visits
  • Respond to all participant and study-related e-mails and inquiries in a timely manner

Data Collection and Management

  • Collect, enter, and manage study data; utilize project management software to track project milestones
  • Collect, manage, and report metrics of research success, including grants, grant dollars, and publications
  • Work closely with the study team to coordinate participant activities and imaging
  • Responsible for de-identifying data and preparing data for blinded analysis by completing paper and electronic reports
  • Order study materials as needed; retain records/archive documents after project close-out

Regulatory Compliance and Study Administration

  • Assist with regulatory compliance reporting and IRB filings and submissions
  • Ensure study activities are implemented and completed within timeframes to meet research objectives and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Manage study finances, including sponsor invoicing and resolving study subject billing issues
  • Act as liaison for research participants, investigators, IRB, sponsors, and healthcare professionals

Laboratory Operations

  • Coordinate scheduling and testing with imaging facilities for MRI studies
  • Assist in day-to-day management of the laboratory and coordinate operations with other lab members

Other Duties

  • Coordinate special studies or projects as directed
  • Perform other tasks as requested and assigned by the PI
Expected Salary:

$22 per hour

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Health Education and Behavior, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Public Health, Kinesiology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:

Two years of relevant experience in human subjects research. Experience with project coordination, data management, and basic analysis techniques. Experience with research conducted in community and clinical settings, NIH-funded projects, and IRB submissions.

Candidate must be able to work well in a team effort with other investigators; must communicate well and be able to establish organizational structure. Experience as a research study coordinator and strong organizational and personal skills are highly desirable.
