Data Management Analyst II

The Clinical Research Hub (CRH) seeks a Data Management Analyst II to support data management, quality control, and analytics across the clinical trial portfolio. This position will manage and maintain data collection instruments and reporting infrastructure spanning CRH's core systems, including OnCore, IRB records, and REDCap, ensuring accurate and timely data for institutional reporting and operational decision-making.

The incumbent will develop and maintain standardized reports and dashboards that support CRH leadership in evaluating trial activation timelines, staffing needs, and operational throughput. This position plays a central role in ensuring data integrity across CRH's clinical research data systems and in translating that data into actionable reporting for CRH and College of Medicine research leadership.

Essential Functions:

Data Management & Systems Integration:

• Develops and maintains data collection instruments and quality-control processes across CRH data systems (OnCore, IRB, REDCap).
• Designs and maintains databases and reporting structures for tracking clinical trial activation, staffing, and operational metrics.
• Collaborates with IT and platform staff on improvements to data infrastructure and system interoperability. Maintains records of data management methods and ensures consistency and accuracy of reported data.

Reporting & Analytics:

• Collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes CRH operational data in preparation for statistical and narrative reports.
• Independently develops recurring and ad hoc reports using inferential statistical measures appropriate to clinical research operations.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for CRH data requests, functioning as a subject-matter resource on data provenance, definitions, and reporting logic ("what does this number take into account") for CRH and College leadership.
• Consults with CRH leadership on data alternatives and reporting approaches to support operational and strategic decisions.

Cross-Functional Liaison:

• Coordinates with the Office of Research's data and analytics function to align CRH reporting outputs with broader College of Medicine research reporting infrastructure.
• Supports integration of CRH data into institutional platforms as directed by CRH leadership.

$70,000 - $75,000; commensurate with education and experience. 

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

• Experience with clinical trial management systems (OnCore or equivalent) and/or REDCap.
• Familiarity with IRB processes and human subjects research data requirements.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
• Experience developing recurring operational reports for research or clinical operations leadership.
• Strong attention to detail and data quality control practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
