Job Description:

Content Creation and Management:
• Leads, plans, and produces the content, media development, and publication of print materials, images, videos, podcasts, digital media or other creative content for the Institute and its programs.
• Writes press releases, newsletter articles, and interview-based articles.
• Works with College MARCOM as liaison with multiple external partners and media outlets to coordinate timely publication and distribution of press releases and other official communications. Designs publications, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and other materials in various formats.
• Provides photography support for Institute events.
• Provides support to other FSI stakeholders for print materials and other communications/marketing requests.

Branding and Marketing:
• Plans and executes FSI branding and marketing efforts in line with Institute objectives.
• Serves as the marketing lead for the Etch Talent Network platform, coordinating strategy, content, and campaigns in partnership with the third-party vendor to ensure effective promotion, engagement, and alignment with Institute objectives.
• Plans and oversees marketing at conferences, coordinating promotional materials, messaging, logistics, and collaboration with external partners to ensure consistent branding and audience engagement.
• Develops branding and marketing strategies, collaborating with internal marketing and communication professionals and/or external marketing firms.
• Develops and leads trade shows, technical conference exhibits, and recruiting events, and collaborates with appropriate staff to market and promote FSI.
• Enhances online content and marketing analytics, considering SEO and Google Analytics.
• Coordinates with HWCOE Marketing and Communications team to ensure that branding and messaging align with University standards.

Social Media and Public Relations:
• Oversees the creation, editing, interviewing, marketing, and success of the institute’s social media platforms, which may include short posts, image reels, videos, podcasts or other content.
• Manages the Department’s social media presence and analyzes/interprets trends and audience data.
• Organizes and develops targeted social campaigns for topics or events.
• Coordinates with external marketing agency(ies) to plan, create, and run social media advertising campaigns to promote Institute events, programs, and initiatives
• Establishes information and public relations campaigns to facilitate information dissemination across UF and nationally.
• Tracks, analyzes, reports, and communicates project outcomes to various stakeholders.
• Interfaces with a broad array of FSI stakeholders (industry, workforce development professionals, university personnel, government officials) to understand and respond to marketing and communication needs.

Communications Strategy:
• Assists the Institute Director and other senior marketing staff to develop marketing and communication strategies and campaigns.
• Analyzes data to inform and contribute to the optimization and coordination of communication strategies across multiple platforms and audiences.

Other Assigned Duties:
• Assists with the Institute events.
• Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the institute director and higher authorities.
• Attends staff and one-on-one supervision meetings to communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
• Participates in department(s), college, and university-wide committees and other joint ventures to advance the student experience.

Expected Salary:

Salary is commensurate based on education and experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree and six years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong creative leader with the ability to bring abstract thoughts/ideas to fruition while maintaining a perspective on the intention of the strategic objectives.
  • Experience supervising marketing/communication professionals and students.
  • Experience working with/managing external marketing agencies.
  • Understands and follows Associated Press Style Guidelines.
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
