OPS Hourly Non-Secretary/Clerical

High school diploma, or its equivalent, and one year of related experience.

• Greet and welcome guests to the museum
• Professional and positive interaction with all visitors and staff of the museum
• Provide excellent customer service and provide general and directional information to guests
• Perform routine patrol of galleries and public spaces
• Monitor guest compliance with museum policies and report non-compliance through verbal and written communication
• Provide front desk coverage on an as-needed basis
• Provide escorts as-needed to secure areas within the museum
• Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment, chairs, and tables for museum activities
• Practice de-escalation techniques when dealing with aggressive or disruptive behavior
• Professionalism, reliability, dependability and adherence to schedules are required
• Other duties as assigned

$15 per hour

Flexibility for varied schedules to include nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the museum.

• Previous experience in a security and/or customer service role
• Ability to work as part of a team and project a positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working and communicating with individuals of diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of basic first aid, or First Aid/AED certification
