Federal Work Study - Student Assistant (Division of Pathology)

Must have Federal Work Study Award

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences, Division of Pathology is seeking a Federal Work Study Student. This position provides support to the Lab. 

Responsibilities include:

• Filing and organizing slides and wax blocks by accession number and year and according to established laboratory procedures.
• Providing backup support to full-time laboratory staff during absences or as needed, including opening and sorting daily packages.
• Replenishing laboratory supplies and maintaining adequate stock levels.
• Performing other related duties and special assignments as needed.

$15.00 per hour

Must have Federal Work Study Award

Preferred Qualifications include:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures for filing, labeling, and organizing laboratory materials
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage large volumes of detailed information.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and multitask effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
